Dharmadam Island


 

Dharmadam Island (Green Island) is a little 2-hectare private island in Thalassery, Kannur District, Kerala. It lies around 100 meters from the terrain at Dharmadam. The island, covered with coconut palms and thick hedge, can be seen from the Muzhappilangad sea shore, from which allowed individuals can leave to the island during low tide. Dharmadam, referred to prior as Dharmapattanam. 

In 1998, the Kerala Government assumed control over this land for the travel industry improvement. Dharmadam is found 4 km from the town of Thalassery. 

The immaculate shores of the Dharmadam Island offer a getaway from schedule, stresses, and sleepiness more than ever. Due to its isolation from the rushing about of city life, the island has become a retreat community for tired voyagers. 

Encircled by waterways on three sides and the Arabian ocean on one side, the island includes a splendid perspective on the juncture of Anjarakandy and Thalassery Rivers. The covering of tall coconut trees, the pleasant perspectives on the ocean, thick brambles sprinkled along the sea shore – the entirety of this makes the island an incredible sight. Go for a walk along the sandy sea shore and dunk your toes into the flawless waters. Experience isolation more than ever.
